"A place that feels like home"
Thank you for everything you have done for our children and all of us. You are, and always will be, part of the family. You have loved, cared for and taught our children so much and they have grown incredibly in your care. You have been there for all of us through the good and the bad times and we cannot thank you enough. You have, without a doubt, been a strength and constant throughout the last 7 years. Thank you - we will miss you beyond words. The Read family
Our son has developed so much into his little, amusing and caring self, making lots of friendships and enjoying all the different activities you have to offer.
Forest School being one of his favourite things to do! He loves being outside and you have nurtured his love of all things mini-beasts and nature that he is teaching us every day. The Leddie family

HOW WE TEACH........
At The White House Day Nursery the children and adults construct the curriculum together. The children will show us what they are interested in and are motivated to learn when they are able to connect new experiences to what they already know.
The adult recognises the child's interests and existing skills, whilst planning how to introduce new skills and ideas to guide their learning and development.
"In the moment" planning is the way we deliver our curriculum. Our highly skilled practitioners tune into the children's interests and next steps for learning by using their attentive observational skills.
Practitioner's then join the child's play at the precise moment where their knowledge and thinking can be stretched and challenged through interactions, questioning, modelling and simply playing alongside them. This personalised method of teaching means each interaction the adults have with your child is meaningful to them and supports their development. Children learn best when they are interested, engaged and have the opportunity to explore with all of their senses. We aim to provide an environment that sparks their curiosity, enabling true learning to take place.
